In Japanese photo is translated as ‘shashin(写真)’, which means copying truth.
So I was surprised when I got to know that the word ‘photo’ was originated from ‘φως’ in Greek which means light.
Since I realized that photo is picture with light, I am searching for light and shadow to take black and white photos more than before.
And then an interesting idea came to mind.
“Taking photos with Monochrome Camera!”
Finally I purchased Leica’s M10 Monochrom.
I am looking forward to good results with the new camera.
